Privacy Policy
OurBible is built so Scripture can be read publicly while personal study, prayer, and account-backed tools stay protected unless a user clearly chooses otherwise.
OurBible operates within the SpiderTaz Network. The SpiderTaz Network Privacy Policy applies to shared account access, network services, security, and connected identity. This policy adds OurBible-specific details.
OurBible may collect information needed to run the service, including account details, sign-in records, session records, reader settings, saved passages, notes, journals where available, prayer requests, reading-plan progress, search activity, public submissions, moderation records, and technical logs.
Visitors may read public Scripture pages, search public Bible content, view public city and state pages, and use public learning areas without submitting private study material. Standard server logs may still record technical request details for security, diagnostics, abuse prevention, and service operation.
Saved passages, notes, private prayer requests, reading progress, account settings, and similar personal records are private by default. They should not appear in public pages, sitemaps, public search output, metadata, or visitor-facing feeds unless a user deliberately chooses a public or shared visibility option supported by the service.
Prayer requests can contain sensitive information. Private prayer requests are intended to remain private to the account and authorized service handling. Public prayer requests may require review and should avoid medical details, home addresses, financial details, identity documents, private information about another person, or emergency information.
City, state, congregation, study, and community features may use location-related information, public congregation details, public submissions, images, and resource information. Private homes, exact gathering locations, assistance details, personal faith participation, and sensitive community records should not be made public without clear authorization.
Information may be shared with hosting providers, service providers, security tools, payment processors where applicable, legal authorities when required, and SpiderTaz Network systems needed to operate connected services. Public content may be visible to visitors and search engines. Private account records are not sold as advertising data.
OurBible uses measures such as private-by-default records, access checks, password hashing where applicable, session controls, noindex treatment for private areas, moderation controls, and separate OurBible data structures to reduce exposure. No online service can guarantee perfect security.
OurBible is not designed to collect sensitive information from children, emergencies, medical treatment, legal disputes, financial hardship, or crisis situations. Users should not submit information that belongs with a parent, guardian, emergency service, counselor, doctor, attorney, pastor, or other trusted real-world support.
Records may be kept as long as reasonably needed for service operation, security, legal compliance, moderation history, abuse prevention, backup integrity, and account support. Users may request help with correction, removal, or review of personal content. Some records may be retained when needed for safety, legal, or operational reasons.
Users may avoid optional submissions, keep study and prayer private, choose supported visibility controls, sign out of sessions, control browser storage, and contact SpiderTaz for account or privacy questions. Some features may not work if required cookies, sessions, or account access are blocked.
This policy may be updated as OurBible changes. Questions may be sent through the SpiderTaz contact page.
